The introduction in Beyond the Call of Duty by scholarly, creator and reporter V Raghunathan and Veena Prasad, says that it is hard to say anything decent in regards to the British who ruled over India unless one experienced Stockholm disorder.
Lost in the story that amid their 200-year control, the British pillaged India, notwithstanding, is the work of the scores of well meaning people who had influence in forming current India, the book says.
